ACADEMIC LEARNING CENTER

The Lockett-Up Foundation kicked off its Manhattan campaign on January 21, 2000 with the naming and dedication of the Lockett-Up Foundation Academic Learning Center on the fourth floor of the Kansas State University Hale Library. The five-year financial gift assisted the Libraries in making sure that quality facilities were available for KSU students. The gift also funded the acquisition of materials used in the children’s literature curriculum. The learning center consists of two classrooms equipped with 24 computers and a study area and will be used as a study hall for athletes and other students.
